This week was pretty good, though unfortunately, quite wet.
Puppet Show: Brother Coyote and Sister Fox

Last Sunday, we went to see the Thistle Theater at the Everett Library, and their rendition of Brother Coyote and Sister Fox, a Mexican folktale. This is a different theater than the last puppet show we'd seen, and Thistle Theater uses a different style; they use the Japanese style called Bunraku, where the puppeteers are dressed completely in black and are visible during the show, rather than being hidden behind a wall.
The show was very enjoyable -- it had singing, jokes, death (chickens are eaten), and a happy-ish ending. After the show, the puppeteers brought several of the puppets out for the kids to look at and touch.
There was also a wild rabbit at work:
I'm surprised at how close he let me get.
Later today, we're going strawberry picking! The kids are very exciting, and I am too. :)
